If a cleaning fits within that window, it’s often completed at the same visit; more involved cases are scheduled for a follow-up.

  1. Check-in (5-10 minutes). Bring a photo ID and your dental insurance card if you have one. New-patient paperwork can be completed at the front desk or sent ahead by request.
  2. Digital X-rays and intraoral photos (10-15 minutes). Modern digital sensors use roughly 80% less radiation than traditional film, per the FDA, and the images are reviewed with you on a chairside monitor.
  3. Comprehensive exam (15-20 minutes). Dr. Ho or Dr. Qureshi reviews your medical and dental history, performs an oral cancer screening, and checks each tooth, your bite, and the health of your gums.
  4. Treatment-plan conversation (10-15 minutes). If anything needs attention, you receive a written treatment plan with itemized costs and an insurance estimate before any work is scheduled. No surprise bills.
  5. Cleaning if time allows (30-40 minutes). Standard prophylaxis with the hygienist. If your last cleaning was more than a year ago or there’s buildup below the gumline, the team may recommend scheduling a deeper cleaning at a follow-up visit.
